Senior Ministry - High Nooners
Would you like to join others for Christian fellowship?
The Senior Ministry at Wallace ( High Nooners) invites all senior
members of the congregation who are at least fifty years old (55+) and
also seniors in the community at large to join us for Christian
fellowship.
HIGH NOONERS
Meetings
Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon
and include lunch followed by a special program such as:
- speakers;
- group trips;
- choral groups;
- instrumentalists;
- vocal soloists and duets; and
- sing alongs.
Our speakers cover diverse topics such as "Wildlife in the Suburbs",
"Adventures on the Appalachian Trail", "Neville House and
The Whiskey Rebellion", "Five Little Known Money Traps"
and "Missionary Experience in Malawi".
Special Trips
Special group trips are offered from time to time with travel provided
by chartered buses or by carpooling. The group has enjoyed:
- Christmas Lights at Hartwood;
- Maple Festival Celebration at Meyersdale, PA;
- The Spring Flower Show at Phipps Conservatory;
- a bus trip to Cumberland, MD highlighted by a Western Maryland
Railway scenic train ride;
- Carousel Theater luncheon in Akron, Ohio to see Kiss Me Kate
- Tour of The Devonshire of Mount Lebanon.
Mission Project
The High Nooners also participate in an outside mission project
each year.
