Apostles In Ministry
AIM…We, at Wallace, believe there is no greater joy than the giving of ourselves in service to others.
We have a unique program, Apostles In Ministry (AIM), that gives our members the opportunity to volunteer their time and talent doing whatever interests them, whenever they see a need, wherever they feel they can make a difference.
"We are all part of His one body…God has given each one of us
the ability to do certain things well".
Romans 12:5-6
Wallace Memorial Adopt a Task
ATTENTION MEMBERS! WE NEED YOUR HELP! Wallace Memorial is a large facility that requires many hours to keep clean, let alone perform routine maintenance. An outline of the needs are available at
Volunteer Adopt a Task (127KB) or you can call the church office and talk to Marilyn 412-561-2431 about taking on a task. Ron will contact you about cleaning materials and instructions.
If some timing is too frequent, ask a friend to share the task. If the task that you want is already taken, please feel free to select a different one.
Please call and sign up today!
Make A Difference
Each year we make or renew a commitment to do these things, a commitment that we believe can make a difference, one caring deed at a time.
Each member chooses from a menu of approximately 130 ministries. These ministries cover a broad range of services including:
- Singing in the choir
- Teaching Sunday school
- Helping in the Food Pantry
- Baking cookies
- Cooking for and/or service to local missions
- Gardening on the church grounds
- Photography
- Artwork or sewing projects
- Computer graphics
- Painting
- Carpentry
Share Your Talents
If you believe, as we do, that we are not really complete until we share ourselves, and if you are looking for a church home that will offer the opportunity to share your talents and/or skills, then come join us at Wallace. Experience the joys of fellowship and service to our Lord
Others have labored
And you have entered into their labor.
