Volunteers In Ministry
In the Bible, we are reminded that each of us “has gifts that differ according to the grace given us” and that “faith without works is dead.” Hence, we are called to use our God-given time and talents in different ways. It is on this foundation that our VIM (Volunteers In Ministry) program was established in 1994.
Around Pentecost, as we celebrate the birth of the Christian Church, Wallace members pledge their time and talents for the coming year to support the congregation’s varied ministries. They select from a menu of approximately 200 different ways to serve in worship, education, fellowship events, mission, buildings and grounds upkeep, administrative functions and other activities. By clicking on the following link (
VIM Menu), you can see the menu for the 2009/2010 church year.
From the lists of volunteers, teams are formed as well as individuals called upon throughout the year to serve where they are most willing. It is through the volunteer efforts of the Wallace congregation, with guidance from its leadership, that our ministry to God’s glory is revealed.
