Welcome, Lauren Zagorac!

The Youth Committee is pleased to announce the hiring of the dynamic, zany, energizer bunny LAUREN ZAGORAC AS OUR NEW YOUTH DIRECTOR! Lauren will begin working with our Jr. & Sr. High Youth April 1, 2008. Lauren brings a creative, unique style as she shares her love of Jesus Christ with others! Please take the opportunity to welcome Lauren to Wallace as she begins to make her presence known in the upcoming weeks! Lauren will be formally introduced to the congregation on Sunday, April 27, when we celebrate Youth Sunday.

A word from Lauren:

Hi! I'm Lauren and I'm excited to join your church family as the new Youth Director! I am looking forward to meeting all of you, and would love to tell you a little about me and why I'm thrilled to be working with you. First and foremost, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and He rocks my world {daily}! He and I are definitely going to be working together as the youth group forms and develops and grows, and we have a lot of great ideas that will challenge and stretch your faith and ideas of God and life, and strangely, manage to be fun at the same time! I've served with the United Methodist church as a youth director for 2 years, as well as a camp dean and counselor for 11 years. I love to be outside, and you can often find me clinging to the side of a mountain, or screaming as I careen down the river {i.e.: I enjoy rock climbing and all paddle sports}. I have a large collection of tee shirts and a strange fondness for pirates, cupcakes, and Christian punk rock bands.

God has big plans for the youth of this church and the community, and I'm blessed to have the opportunity to serve in helping to see those plans come to life! Know that I am, and have been, praying for God's direction and guidance, and I'm excited to be part of this new phase in the life of your church! God has already begun His work, and He is on the move! I can promise that with God's help, this group will be scripturally based, and hopefully habit forming part of this church.
