A Letter from our Pastor

Visit Pastor's Corner May 2008 for a letter from our Pastor.

New Orleans, May 18-24, please hold this mission trip in prayer. Thirteen are going for a week to build houses with Habitat for Humanity, and staying (and being fed by!) at the St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, including: Jan Schroeder, Jan Sterling, Karen and Stacey Xander, Cory Robinson, Jen and Megan Tancraitor, Kay and Bill Heidkamp, Russ and Alice Silver, Steve and Ellen Heriger.

Our second annual Women of Wallace Retreat, “Ruth's Story/Our story,” is May 8, 9 & 10. Thank you to the planning committee: Barbara Johnston, Marijane Eibs, Jan Schroeder, Nadine Eichenmiller, Joan Humphrey and Ellen Heriger.

June 1: Wallace Celebration {10 a.m. Worship Service}
Sacrament of the Lord's Supper
Reception of New Members and Confirmation Class
Scripture: The Acts of the Apostles 2: 11 - 28
Sermon: "The Rigging"
First Lesson: "Knot Tying"
Meditation: "The Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you."

A Congregational Meeting will be held following the morning Worship Service for the purpose of election of people to the office of Elder and Deacon and Nominating Committee. The congregation will receive an annual report from the committees of the congregation and vote on the Terms of Call for the Pastor.

The annual Church Picnic will be held at the Scott Township Park at the Locust Grove Pavilion, following the Worship Service. It will be a great opportunity to meet the new members and welcome the Confirmation Class into full membership.
