Worship With Us

Worship is God expressing His love to us, and our response to His love.
Worship is the heart and soul of our church. We love Him,
because He first loved us.

Worship To Strengthen Our Faith

January Worship Services

2012

We will begin the New Year with a Celebration of The Lord’s Supper and mark our faith in Jesus Christ using the Apostle’s Creed and sharing the Lord’s Prayer.  As the month unfolds we will continue to mark the journey of our faith with the Celebration of Epiphany as we remember the visit of the Magi and conclude the Christmas Season with the Chancel Choir’s presentation of The Living Light.  The remainder of the month will focus on the simplicity of the gospel message and the call to discipleship as we use the account of Mark to guide our worship experience.

Welcome to Zachary Jamieson {New Youth Director}

The new youth director is here and he is rolling out some new things for us all to follow the Youth Ministry in the months ahead.  The program will embrace both the Middles School Youth {6th-8th Grade} and High School Youth {9th-12}.  (See separate article for the schedule of upcoming events).

Zach comes to us from the Hagerstown, Maryland area (near the Outlet Malls for those who have been to that area).  He has deep Presbyterian roots having grown up in the local Presbyterian Church in Hagerstown and has been a part of the Baltimore Presbytery Youth Council.  He has extensive experience with the Maryland Youth Leadership Workshops across the state of Maryland.  He is currently doing his student teaching with an urban emphasis at the Lincoln School in the city of Pittsburgh.  He will graduate in May from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a education degree and hopes to work within the urban school system in Pittsburgh.  Zach will be leading the Education Hour for the High School youth and will be in worship weekly.  Please introduce yourself as you learn more about his leadership of our youth.

He has set up a blog for the Wallace Youth Group and invites everyone to log on to the blog at wmpcyouthgroup.wordpress.com.  A Twitter account has also been started to keep everyone updated on what the youth group is doing.  For those who “twitter” the username is @wmpcyouthgroup.  Watch for further developments as Zach gets things rolling in the months ahead.

P.S. Ask the youth about Zach’s secret identity.
