Wallace Memorial
Presbyterian Church

Welcome

"Cultivating a nurturing community, which extends Christ's Peace to all."

On May 16, 2006, the Session adopted the above defining mission statement to provide focus for our Vision for the Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church USA Congregation.

The Vision for Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church USA

Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church,

As part of the body of Christ,

Is called by God,

And empowered by the Holy Spirit,

To enhance the spiritual life of all God's children.

  • Each member accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and in so doing, receives the gifts of redemption and salvation being reconciled to God;
  • Each member reflects a Christian lifestyle, enriched by the teachings of the Bible, knowing the love and presence of God in daily life;
  • Each member embraces Christ's command to "Love one another" by sharing in worship, prayer, fellowship, and caring for each other's needs;
  • Each member demonstrates God's love by extending Christ's grace, mercy, and peace to the world.
  • Each member expresses gratitude and praise to God by offering the first fruits of resources, time, and spiritual gifts for the growth of His Kingdom and the care of His Creation.

The newly formed Strategic Design Team and the Session will be using the mission and vision statements to evaluate and shape our ministry and mission for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the months ahead. We will continue to use the full mission statement to describe the ways we fulfill our mission and vision as a congregation.
